Roberrt Mugabe ruled his country with iron fist. His achievements include inflation unimaginable, no food for the folk and what not.
But Tun Mahathir ruled with same iron fit, but got out of the job after destroying all the democratic institutions and racial and religious freedom leaving the mess to his successor.
Now he has invited Robert Mugabe to come for exile to live in Malaysia for ever, for ever.
How can we plan for Mugabe’s welcome and accommodation in Malaysia?

He should be met at the airport by a group of Iban ladies dancing the ‘ngajat’ to make him feel nice and relaxed, then when he’s least expecting it a group of Iban worriers should attack him with their blowpipes.
Author Stephen Chan describes him as ‘a ruthless and single-minded despot’ and a ‘ruthless dictator’ so why would your ex prime minister want to be associated with such a thug?
Maybe it’s a case of ‘Birds of a feather flock together’?
Malaysia is a free country, or supposedly so, just like SA. Welcome ? Plan ? The usual, of course. The VIPs line up at the security areas at the airport… A red carpet… Flags of SA adorn street lamp poles along the way….. to his palace, of which boleh land Malaysia has quite a lot. Heard one is available recently…its owner was unable to bring it to never-never land.
I think that you are right in your observations and comments. However, I do not think that Malaysia should plan for his ‘welcome and accommodation’ at all!
As you say, Mr Mugabe ruled with an iron fist and all of the press reports state that he is ‘characteristically defiant’ and ‘up for the challenge’. Good. Let him do so! He should be made to stay in Zimbabwe. He has said that he is proud to have been born and bred there. Again, good – so why would he object to staying, especially as he maintains that the majority support him? I would not wish to see him harmed but perhaps he might have to face some of the privations he has inflicted upon so many others.
Get him to stay next to Tun so they can chat and compare notes?
send Tun to welcome his iron fist twin..
